1926 advert for Stepney Tyres, a British company, demonstrates the British Bulldog is just as good a gripper as his American counterpart.
The company had a tire factory which was situated at Passiac New Jersey and by the time of Mr Braender's death in 1916 his business and personal estate was valued at $1,000,000. Some time after Philip Braender had died the company became known as Braender Rubber & Tire Co with its main business address being situated at Rutherford, New Jersey, USA.
