Power Topics

Vintage Garage Power Topics a magazine of the Power Petroleum CompanyPlease click either image to view a new pictorial feature on the Power Petroleum's Staff Journal "Power Topics".

Many petrol companies had some sort of magazine which the buying public could read and enjoy but Power Petroleum's magazine was aimed at its own staff and was initially called "Power Times". The magazine was produced a couple of times a year with the purpose to provide information about the company and its industry together with news of its staff through the various company associated social clubs and organised events. Power Topics give an opportunity to look back at the company in some detail and accuracy which otherwise would not be possible.

From the Power magazines comes an amazing 1930's photograph of a very desirable petrol pump glass globe perched precariously on the edge of aVintage Garage Power Ethyl Petrol Pump Globe table with a cat struggling to get out of it - unfortunately it is not known if either survived the moment.   Images like this are so rare and illustrate the value of examining old magazines to see what was in the news at the time of issue.

To see the "Power Topics" feature just click any image for more interesting photographs particularly those relating to company petrol tankers and vehicles. If you have any pre war company magazines then please let us know as we might be able to add to this feature with interesting earlier images.
